In addition, she is a founding member of The Spoke Club and the Young Patrons Council for the Royal Ontario Museum. She is passionate about family and is a mother of two beautiful children. In her free time, she can be found pursuing her love of food, pilates, music and travel.

Natasha Shah - Founder of Bucket of Fun
My name is Natasha Shah and I’m a Wifey, Mommy, and Wonder Woman to my husband Keyur, and three kids - Arren, Elina and Zayvin. I grew up in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, then lived all over the States for 13 years, and just recently moved back to Toronto.  Among the many changes was the challenge of finding education and engaging toys for the kids.

Solution my daughter Elina and I started rummaging through knicks and knacks, old and new toys alike, and coming to the perfect mix of items for kids in the form of Sensory Bins.  To my surprise, all of my kids who range in age from 2-9 gravitated towards the bins for a number of reasons including the variety of toys, textures and building materials within the collection!

Naomi Zeligman and Michelle Ohayon - Co- Founders of
Sense of Independence

My sister Naomi and I opened up Sense of Independence Boutique 16 years ago and have never looked back. Since opening, we have moved to a location 3x the size of our original location, added an online store as well as a shoppable instagram store. We love fashion and design and consider ourselves lucky to have the opportunity to do what we love everyday. We are both very busy moms (I have 2 kids and Naomi has 3) and we love encouraging young women that they can have a family and still follow their dreams and chase their goals!

Jessica Dennie
Founder & CEO The Curiosity Lab
Publisher - Macaroni Kid GTA & Macaroni Kid Durham Region

Jessica founded the The Curiosity Lab in 2018 after working for another STEM company in the GTA. Realizing that parents needed more convenient options for extracurricular activities and the importance of introducing and/or supplementing STEM education for students, TCL was born. TCL introduces students to a wide range of STEM programs that are customized and engaging in their own private virtual classes. Students learn everything from coding to game design, animation and much more. The goal is for kids to have fun, gain important hard and soft skills while remaining competitive in the global job market. Our kids are capable of creating instead of just consuming amazing content!

As a single parent to a 6 year old boy and a 12 year old fur baby, Jessica understands that multiple forms of income is key so in addition to her 9-5 as an HR professional she also recently became a publisher!

This #momboss now publishes Macaroni Kid GTA and Durham to keep families in the know with regards to amazing events, give aways, contests and more in the GTA!

"I found myself on google every week typing in 'events in the GTA this weekend' or 'events for kids happening this weekend near me' so I joined Macaroni Kid to be able to step outside the box of the usual Zoo, ROM, Ripleys etc events to bring parents amazing unique businesses and events that they may otherwise not know about!"

When she isn't working, Jessica is usually traveling, exploring trails in Durham or baking!

Nicolette Seecharan  - Owner Little Fashion Bow'Tique

I have always had a keen interest in fashion. When I found out that I was having my son I couldn’t wait to style him. Not long after, I realized how difficult it was to find certain styles and accessories to compete his outfits. With my son being my muse, I decided to open my own online boutique for children. Hoping to spare parent’s the trouble of having to go place to place to shop for their little ones.

What inspired or encouraged you to start this business?
It all started when I had my son! I love shopping for him,  putting together outfits and styling him! As doing so, it may be a bit of a challenge in finding outfits that were both trendy and affordable.

What was the most difficult part of starting your business?
The biggest challenge was finding the most reliable designers & suppliers. It was time consuming and took alot of research.

What do you love most about your business?
Receiving photos of little Fashionistas wearing my styles! I love seeing how lovely they look & to see that they’re enjoying what I have worked so hard to create, it makes me so proud!

How do you balance work and family life?
This was super important for me. Having time for both. That is why everything is handled online and does not consume alot of my time. Once an order comes in, I do my “happy dance” then head into my little office to prepare an order, which only takes me about 10 minutes! My family is very supportive so I never have to worry about it being difficult to have the best of both worlds.

What do you do to take care of YOU?
I choose random days where I would do absolutely nothing besides watching movies & binge watching TV shows. Those are my “recuperating” days.

What's your favourite thing to do with your kids or family in the local area?
I enjoy taking my son on long walks to the park.

Do you have any advice to give other super moms?
Always schedule time for yourself!
It can become overwhelming and easy to forget about yourself in the process of making your dreams come true but you are the one who is in charge so do not forget to make YOU time!

Do you have any special offers for our Macaroni Kid subscribers who are reading this right now?
We’d love to give you 10% off on any outfit in our Spring Collection. Just mention Mom Boss Marketplace!

Krista Steed  - Owner of Get Lit Candle & Co

I started Get Lit Candle & Co. back in July of 2020. I suffer from migraines and allergies all year round. I find scents along with some other environmental factors trigger my migraines. I decided to make my own candles so I could control what I was putting into them. I’m so proud of my candle collection. We only offer 100% soy wax candles which are very safe to burn around children and pets. The fact they are subtle in aroma is a huge benefit to myself and others that are prone to migraines. Our candles are made with essential oils which plays a huge part in aromatherapy and is amazing for your body and mind. We are located in Brooklin, ON and very grateful to all our customers. Without them we would not be in business today.
